Review/Description: This is an updated and expanded version of another book with the same title published in the USA in 2001 which is also in our library. It is based on the four volume, more than 4,000 page Leidensweg… series that document s the events at the end of World War II. It includes personal stories and statistics that tell the horrific story of the Donauschwaben in Yugoslavia after the War. One of the additions to the original is a legal analysis of various world treaties defining genocide and crimes against humanity to show that the treatment of Yugoslavian Germans meets the standard of Genocide. If you can only read one book about this subject, this is it.
